Here is a Lionel 4U Bild-A-Loco electric from 1928-29. The Bild-a-loco was a unique engine that was sold as a kit, and could be easily assembled. The motor could be removed and used to power other toys. Made for only two years, it is quite hard to find today. Features for this locomotive include a motor, manual reverse unit, brass trim, metal wheels and axles.
This item has been graded per TCA standards (Restored/Repainted) R-4: Very Good based on visual appearance. This item has been painted and restored by the previous owner. It has some visible signs of bubbling around the rivets and edges of the body. Although repainted, this item shows some light spots of paint wear and chipping throughout the surface. There are some nicks and scratches present throughout the body and underframe. The wheels and rolling pickups show signs of average use. The original box is not included.
