This is a Lionel 1579 Milwaukee Road Service Station Special Set. These sets were sold exclusively to the authorized Lionel Service Stations in 1975. The set includes a 8555 Milwaukee Road Diesel F-3 Powered Unit, 8557 Milwaukee Road Diesel F-3 Non-Powered Dummy Unit, 9119 Detroit & Mackinaw Covered Hopper, 9132 Libby's Pineapple Vat Car, 9754 NYC Pacemaker Boxcar, 9758 Alaska RailRoad Boxcar, 9169 Milwaukee Road Illuminated Caboose
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. There are a few light nicks and scratches present on the surfaces of the locomotive and all freight cars included. Additionally, bodies of all items show a few light areas of paint wear and chips throughout their bodies and underframes. Wheels and rolling pickups show light signs of wear from previous use. The original set box is included along with the individual item boxes. Spots of discoloration and stains are present on the set box. This item has been stored in a basement for a while by the previous owner and has a slight odor. Check the photos for a detailed look at this item. Overall condition is Excellent.
