This Pilot Locomotive is undecorated and unpainted, but has all the trim parts in brass. Sorry we don't have the picture, but we have included the picture of the painted version so you know the locomotive. Designed to eliminate the need for double- heading the Pennsy’s K-4 Pacifics in the mountains, the PRR soon found the M1 to be equally well suited to freight service in many parts of the system. The M1a served the Standard Railroad of the World well until the end of steam.
Pilot engines are fully operable and finished with no decoration applied.
