Here is a Lionel 6119-125 Vintage O Olive Drab Rescue Work Caboose. This uncatalogued "work caboose" was manufactured in 1964 for inclusion in outfit X 924-0680. This outfit was assembled exclusively for J. C. Penny. This car was also included in uncatalogued outfit 19351-500, but its inclusion in this set was probably an effort by Lionel to rid itself of overrun. Though similar to the 6824 Rescue Caboose, this car did not have a number stamped on it at all, nor did it include the stretcher, air tank, and toll compartment insert of the Rescue Caboose. Its cab and tool compartment moldings were unpainted olive drab plastic, and what markings were on the plastic components were heat stamped in white. A short smoke jack was mounted on i8ts roof. The car always had a chemical blackened frame that was rubber-stamped "LIONEL" in white serif lettering. It rode on AAR trucks and had one coupler, which was operating. The stock number of this car was given in the Lionel Service manual.
