Here is an MTH 10-1252-1 Std. Gauge Tinplate No. 392E Steam Locomotive & Tender w/PS2. With the exception of the venerable 400E, standard gauge's largest steam locomotive is the mammoth 392E. First produced in 1932, the 392E roars to life again as part of the 2006 Tinplate Traditions lineup.
Evoking memories of yesteryear while employing today's technology, the 392E may just be one of the most popular steam engines we've ever produced. Available in two traditional paint schemes as well as four railroad inspired flavors, operators cnd collectors will appreciate a choice between a contemporary Proto-Sound 2.0 drive train or a traditional version outfitted with an AC motor and mechanical e-unit.
Comtemporary versions come complete with all the features you expect to find in a Proto-Sound 2.0 equipped locomotive including synchronized puffing smoke, full digital sound, locomotive speed control for incredible realistic operation regardless of load or terrain and a bevy of operating features not available in any other manufacturers tinplate models.
Like all Tinplate Traditions locomotives, the 392E closely models the original of yesteryear. The boiler, tender and running gear are produced entirely from stamped metal components. Painted surfaces are decorated with high gloss paint and sport a fit and finish never seen on original models.
Of course nothing complements the 392E than a beautiful set of matching passenger cars, each hand assembled entirely from all-metal components.
