This is a BLMA 176-11077 N Scale Pullman-Standard PS-2CD 4000 Cubic Foot Covered Hopper - Ready to Run Kansas City Southern #149 (Repaint, brown, Large Reporting Marks Only) Over 2,000 of these large-capacity covered hoppers rolled out of the Pullman-Standard shops from 1962 to 1964, and would see service across North America into the early 21st century. With its center discharge and 100-ton capacity, the cars were commonly found handling grain, fertilizer and similar bulk materials that had to be protected in transit.
