The Nancy Hanks was a passenger train which ran on the Central of Georgia Railroad. It ran on a daily schedule between Atlanta, Georgia and Savannah, Georgia. Named after a famous racehorse, the train made its first run on July 17, 1947. It was an all-coach reserved seat train, complete with a grill lounge! In this view, the train is running northbound, parallel to U. S. Highway 19 (Dixie Highway), just South of Jonesboro, Georgia in the Spring of 1960. Sadly, the train made its last run on April 30, 1971. Artist Proof #11 of 100
