This is a 3rd Rail 1796 Santa Fe 2-8-8-2 Y-3 Steam Locomotive. This scale length steam locomotive is for 3-rail AC operation and features brass construction, great detail, a Pittman motor, an operating smoke unit, an operating headlight, TMCC, a decorative bell, metal side rails, and die-cast metal wheels and axles. The tender features brass construction, die-cast metal trucks, a die-cast metal operating coupler on the back, and metal wheels and axles.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. The pivot pipe is broken. The truck is held in place very loosely -- the engine will need to be handled with delicate car in order to avoid further damaged. One of the center pick-ups is missing. One of the green light pieces is non-functional. The locomotive and tender show scratches and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This item has been inspected by our repair shop. Please see the attached picture for inspection details and additional operation information. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is included. Please check the photos for a detailed look at this item. Overall condition is Excellent.
