There are a number of reasons why this charming little ship has captured the hearts of so many modelers. At 28 inches long, it is perfect for those of us with smaller working areas. The quality materials, such as the balsa planking, and stainless steel rails lead to an excellent building result. Basically, everybody loves tug boats, and the Victory Tug with all of her natural wood and scruffy good looks is an exceptional find. The Dumas model of the Victory Tug provides all the high quality materials necessary to complete the kit for a static model. If you do decide to radio control the Victory Tug, all you need is a #2004 6V motor, a #8314 Electronic Speed Control, a 7.2V NiCad battery pack, and a 2 channel radio to get her on the water.
In the Summer of 2012 this model underwent a complete redesign. In addition to the change to balsa planking the model features several expanded PVC diecuts. Ease of construction as well as the documentation have been greatly improved. The model now includes a 51 page instruction manual and 64 detail drawing figures. The new Victory Tug is better than ever. Length 28 inches Beam 10 inches Scale 3/4 in. to 1 ft.
