The locomotive has a built-in mfx/DCC decoder with many light and sound functions. The running sounds will also work in analog operation. The train has a tank car painted and lettered for the train. The paint scheme and lettering are for Era VI. The tank can be filled with water. The water can be sprayed with a digitally controlled pump. This function is only possible in digital operation.
