This is a Lionel 2065 Vintage O 4-6-4 Hudson Steam Locomotive & 6026W Tender from 1954-56. This locomotive features a motor, magnetraction, a reverse unit, an operating headlight, an operating smoke unit, die-cast metal construction, a decorative bell, metal side rods, metal wheels and exquisite detail. The tender features detailed die-cast trucks, front operating knuckle coupler, and metal wheels and axles.
Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America, the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world!
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. This item displays scratches and paint imperfections across the body and underframe. Chips in the paint can be seen along the edges and corners. Spots of surface rust are present on the underside of the tender and on the locomotive's drive rods. The rear tender truck is not original and may hit the side of the frame during operation. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The wheels and rolling pickups show signs of average use. The original box is not included. The instruction manual is not included. This item has been inspected by our repair shop.
