This is a Lionel 2530 Vintage O REA Aluminum Baggage Car with Middle Plates from 1959-60. This is the late version with no 'Lionel Lines' plates on the sides and was sold with the Santa Fe aluminum car sets from 1959-60. It features sliding doors, die-cast trucks with operating metal couplers and it measures 15 inches long.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are visible spots of rusting and oxidation on the trucks, coupler assembly, wheels and axels, and on the chassis. There are visible nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. There are sections of the original paint that are chipped or rubbed off. The wheels and rolling pickups show signs of average use. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. There are some stains and spots that may be difficult or unable to the be removed.
