Here is a Lionel 6-11131 O Gauge UP 4-8-4 Northern FEF-3 Steam Locomotive & Tender #844. It is made from all-new tooling, and comes equipped with the Lionel LEGACY Command Control System, RailSounds 5.0, and prototypically accurate detailing and decoration. The Lionel FEF-3 locomotive is available in two classic schemes: black with a light graphite smoke box and firebox, and a two-tone grey passenger scheme featuring Armour Yellow lettering and striping. Both FEF-3 locomotives are accurately modeled with dual stacks and elephant ear smoke deflectors that reduced smoke flow over the cab, a Worthington SA feedwater heater, and an all-weather enclosed cab with an opening roof hatch. The engine is matched with a prototypical 14-wheel centipede oil-firing tender. Add a scale-sized CA-4 caboose or other scale U.P. rolling stock to complete your freight train. Features include Lionel LEGACY Control System equipped and able to run in Command Control Mode or in Conventional Transformer Control Mode, RailSounds 5.0 Sound System with custom recorded effects including: multi-part CrewTalk and TowerCom announcements to create realistic operating scenarios from pulling out of the yard to initiating an emergency stop, in both conventional and command control environments, realistic operator-controlled effects, including the water injector, activated by the CAB-2 Remote Controller, prototypical four chuffs per revolution, DynaChuff synchronized chuffing that shifts through 15 levels of intensity as the locomotive gains speed, simulate the locomotive running light or battling against a heavy load by manually adjusting the DynaChuff intensity with CAB-2 commands, multi-Whistle effect simulates blows at different steam pressures, long and short attacks, and even extra quilling with each press of the whistle button, independently adjustable volume control use the CAB-2 remote Controller to lower the level of background effects such as chuffing while keeping operator-controlled effects such as the whistle at full volume, a FatBoy speaker for the ultimate in sound reproduction, high-torque Pittman® motor with momentum flywheel, wireless tether connection between locomotive and tender, directional lighting including operating headlight, red emergency light, and back-up light, illuminated classification and marker lights, illuminated number boards.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-8: Like New based on visual appearance. The wheels show average signs of wear, but the item is like new. The instruction manual is not included.
