With back-drivable gears, the electronics control the speed of the locomotive. The locomotive pulls without hesitation, even at a crawl. Improved lash-up performance. Smooth operation for the individual units means smoother operation for multiple units when they are each equipped with the new drive system. Removable truck side frames. The truck sides are removed with a few screws, allowing you to easily replace a worn traction tire. Plus, two driven axles increase pulling power as compared to the original drive system. You asked for it. You got it. The new dual-axle drive system is ready for duty on your layout. Features include Transformer controlled forward, neutral, and reverse operation, an electronic diesel horn, directional lighting, including LED headlights, operating marker lights, operating couplers, dual powerful maintenance-free motors with momentum flywheels, traction tire, a fan-driven smoke unit, die-cast metal trucks, fuel tank, and pilots, a metal frame, separately applied metal details, illuminated number boards, illuminated cab interior, engineer and fireman figures.
