Here is a MTH 30-1151-1 O Union Pacific 4-8-4 FEF Northern Steam Locomotive & Tender w/PS1. This engine features precision flywheel equipped motor, DCRU electronic reverse, an electronic whistle, Proto couplers, operating die-cast couplers, die-cast tender body, operates on O-31 track, operating headlight, and detailed cab interior. This locomotive does not include DCS (Digital Command System) features because it has Proto Sound 1.0. Only locomotives with Proto Sound 2.0 include DCS with freight yard or passenger station proto-effects.
First introduced in the early 20th century, the 4-8-4 to rail yards by storm primarily hauling coal and other forms of freight across state lines in the US and rail-ways in various other countries. While later models would improve on the 4-8-4's limitation, this locomotive still made its place in history as a pioneer of 20th century rail-road industry, and is featured in some museums today as a testament to how far the industry has truly come!
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-8: Like New based on visual appearance. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is included.
