Here is a Unique Art 1950 O Gauge Electric Train Set. This set features all tin lithographed construction with a steam locomotive, tender, hopper, circus boxcar, caboose, and control tower. All freight cars and locomotive feature tinplate construction and hook type couplers. The locomotive features a motor and operating headlight. This set also includes a transformer, a controller tower, a lock-on, some wire, [8] curved track pieces, and [2] straight track pieces.
This item has been graded per TCA standards (Restored/Repainted) R-3: Good based on visual appearance. There is a sticker underneath the controller tower indicating that the item was restored previously. The transformer looks to be possibly restored previously, but there are not indications. There is a new wire attached to the locomotive headlight from the pick-up plate. There are spots of rust on the bottom of the locomotive, tender, and cars, most prominently on the couplers. There are noticeable sections of lost paint, nicks, and scratches on the surface of the shells and chassis of the locomotive, tender, and cars. There are sections of lost paint, nicks, and scratches on the surface of the transformer and controller, as well. The tracks show signs of previous use with noticeable tarnishing on the rails and visible wear/rusting on the ties. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. There are sections on the train, rails, transformer, and controller that may be difficult or unable to be removed. The original box is not included.
