Here is a United Models/PFM HO BRASS Frisco 2-10-0 Russian Steam Locomotive and Tender. This locomotive features undecorated brass construction, metal wheels, one knuckle coupler, and a motor. Please view the photos for a more detailed look at the features of this item.
Introduced in the late 19th century, the 2-10-0 was first unveiled in North America for the Lehigh Valley Railroad on the East Coast. The 2-10-0 notation would catch on quickly, and would soon before commissioned in rail-yards all over the world for their versatility, and powered axels making them a powerful locomotive despite drawbacks with the firebox and running at low speeds. These models would run well into the mid-20th century before eventually making their way from a running status to a preservation state. Today a handful of these “Decapods” can be found in museums!
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. The wheels show average run-time. This item shows some light nicks and scratches on the shell and chassis. The model type has been etched into the bottom of the chassis by the previous owner. The shell shows signs of tarnish. There are spots of black flecks all around and inside the shell. The decorative bell piece is missing from the front of the locomotive. This item is in overall very good condition. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is included. The original box is included.
